FTU Tutorial - Rock Your Own Style



For this tutorial i am using the amazing artwork by @Ismael Rac

~Supplies Needed~
Tube of choice
Scrapkit used was Edgy Rocker made by Kristin which can be downloaded from here
If you do not have this scrapkit please feel free to use another one with similar elements
MInxy&RoseyFFT21 template made by Minxy & Rosey, which can be downloaded from here
Vix_Mask147 made by Vix which can be downloaded from here

Let's Get Started

Open the template in PSP - image - canvas size - 850 x 750 - unhide the background layer & refill with white

Hide the wordart layer, we don't need this layer until later - i also removed all the stars too but i'll leave that up to you

On the large blue circle layer - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - position - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - duplicate - image - mirror - merge together - duplicate again - on the original change the blend mode to Luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to screen - add a drop shadow to the black circle layer

On the purple rectangle layer - add a new raster layer & fill with black - add a drop shadow - delete the original layer - on the dotted line layer go to selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with a colour from your tube or scrapkit - selections - none

On the pink square frame back layer - select with your magic wand - fill with black - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - position - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - duplicate - on the original change the blend mode to Luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to soft light - ettects - texture effects - blinds



On the frame layer - adjust - add/remove noise



Add a drop shadow - repeat this for the bottom left frame as well

On the large black rectangle layer - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand 3 - on the original layer fill with a colour from your tube - apply the same noise settings as earlier - selections - none - add a drop shadow

On the thin white circle layer - apply the same noise settings as earlier - add a drop shadow - also add a drop shadow to the stars layer

On the blur rectangle layer - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - add drop shadow - delete the original layer

Do the same for the small purple rectangle layer

On the large black oval layer - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand 3 - on the original layer fill with a colour from your tube - apply the same noise settings as earlier - selections - none - add a drop shadow

Merge together the small blur circle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with black - selections - none - effects - plugins - Penta.com - Color Dot



On the black circle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with a colour from your tube - selections - none - add a drop shadow & delete the original layers

Merge together the remaining purple rectangle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand 3 - on the original layer fill with a colour from your tube - apply the same noise settings as earlier - selections - none - add a drop shadow on the paper layer apply the same blinds settings as earlier

Merge together the pink square layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand 3 - on the original layer fill with a colour from your tube - apply the same noise settings as earlier - selections - none - add a drop shadow

Merge together the blue square layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand 3 - on the original layer fill with a colour from your tube - apply the same noise settings as earlier - selections - none - add a drop shadow

Add drop shadows to the dotted lines

Unhide the wordart layer - resize to liking - adjust - hue & saturation - colorize - set it to a colour that matches your tag - effects - plugins - Eye Candy 4 - Gradient Glow - glow width 3 - set the settings to fat - add a drop shadow

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer - position - duplicate - adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to soft light - add a drop shadow to the original tube

Add a new raster layer above your background layer - fill with a colour from your tube - layers - new mask from image - apply Vix's mask - merge group

Copy & paste any elements from the scrapkit you are using as new layers - position around your tag - i also added a Gradient Glow to these as well - add drop shadows

With your font add your name - position - apply the same noise settings & Gradient Glow as earlier - add a drop shadow

I also added the words ROCK to my tag as well

Don't forget to add the artists correct copyrite - crop & save tag and you are done!
