PTU Tutorial - Toxic Love

Tube of choice
Scrapkit used was Toxic Love made by Kristin which can be purchased from here
If you do not have this scrapkit please feel free to use another one
Tag Template 211 also made by Kristin and can be downloaded from here
Masks - Vix_BigMask001 which can be downloaded from here

Let's Get Started

Open Kristin's template in psp - image - canvas size -  800 x 750 - fill the background layer with white - delete the credits layer

Copy & paste the filmstrip as a new layer - with your magic wand select the middle of each frame - selections - modify - expand by 4 - add a new raster layer & move it below the frames layer - select 2 colours from your tube - gradient - angle 45 - repeats 3 - fill your new layer with your gradient - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - position in the left frame - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - duplicate - image - mirror - with your magic wand again select inside the middle 2 frames - selections - modify - expand by 4 - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - position - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - merge all tube layers together - duplicate - on the original change the blend mode to luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to screen - reduce opacity to around 80 % - effects - plugins - screenworks - dot screen

On the filmstrip layer - selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer & move it below the gradient layer - selections - modify - expand by 3 - fill with white - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - bright noise - set to 60% - add a drop shadow

Copy & paste the heart frame as a new layer - resize to around 60% - position in the left corner (see my tag) - with your magic wand select the middle of the frame - selections - modify - expand by 4 - add a new raster layer & move it below the frame layer - fill with black - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - duplicate - on the original change the blend mode to luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode soft light - effects - plugins - VanderLee - Unplugged-x - Interlace - default settings - add a drop shadow to the frame layer - merge these layers together - duplicate - image - mirror - position

On the black circle layer - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - on the original layer fill white - selections none - apply the same bright noise settings as your just did - add a drop shadow

Merge together the thin rounded rectangle layers - selections - all -float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with black - selections - none - add a drop shadow - delete the original layer

On the dark pink rounded rectangle layer - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections - modify - expand by 3 - add a new raster layer - move it below the paper layer - fill with white - selections - none - apply the same bright noise settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Merge together the light pink rounded rectangle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with a colour from your tube - selections - none - add a drop shadow - delete the original layer

Merge together the grey circle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with black - selections - none - add a drop shadow - delete the orignal layer

Merge together the black rectangle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with your gradient - selections - modify - expand by 3 - add a new raster layer & move it below your gradient layer - fill with white - apply the same bright noise settings as earlier - add a drop shadow - delete the original layer - on your gradient layer go to effects - plugins - penta.com - color dot - defualt settings

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer - add a drop shadow

Add a new raster layer above your back ground layer - fill with your gradient - layers - new mask from image - apply Vix mask - merge group

Copy & paste any elements from the scrapkit you are using - i added a gradient glow to mine to make them stand out - add a drop shadows

With your font add your name - position - apply the same bright noise settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Don't forget to add the artists correct copyrite - crop & save tag and you are done!
