FTU Tutorial - Neon Punk

~Supplies Needed~
Tube of choice
Scrapkit used was Neon Punk made by Kristin & Tamie which can be downloaded from here
If you do not have this scrapkit please feel free to use another one
Tag Template 212 also made by Kristin and can be downloaded from here

Let's Get Started

Open Kristin's template in psp - image - canvas size - change to 800 x 750 - delete the credit layer - add a new raster layer & move so that it's below all the other layers - fill with white

On the green circle layer - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - delete the original layer

On the blue dotted line layer - selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with a colour from your tube - selections - none - delete the original layer

Merge together the star layers - selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer & fill with a colour from your tube - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - position in the top star - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - copy & paste your tube again & position in the right star - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - merge together the tube layers - duplicate - change to blend mode on the original to luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - set to 3.00 - change the blend mode to soft light - effects - plugins - zero - radiance



Effects - texture effects - blinds



Back on the original star layer - selections - all - float - defloat - selections modify - expand by 4 - fill with a colour from your tube {I used 2 colours from my tube & selected gradient} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - bright noise - set to 50% - add a drop shadow & delete the original layer

On the thin pink rectangle layer - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Merge together the green rounded rectangle layers - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Merge together the pink rectangle layers - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Merge together the grey square layers - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Copy & paste the filmstrip as a new layer - with your selection tool set to rectangle - draw around the first frame like so 



Selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - position to the bottom left - move below the white circle layer - with your magic wand select the middle of the frame - selections - modify - expand by 4 - add a new raster layer & move it below the frame layer - fill with black - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - duplicate - change to blend mode on the original to luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - set to 3.00 - change the blend mode to soft light

On the frame layer go to effects - plugins - eye candy 4 - gradient - glow - glow width 3.00



Add a drop shadow - repeat these steps but place the frame to the top right {See my tag for reference}

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer - position - add a drop shadow

Select your font of choice - change the setting to floating - size depends on the font you are using - with your preset shape tool set to eclipse - line width 2 - draw a circle around the white circle {See my tag for reference} - DO NOT CONVERT TO RASTER - add a new raster layer - with your font add some text until it makes a complete circle, if you find that it doesn't do that, then add some spaces in between the words until it fills the circle - delete the circle layer that you drew - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - noise - same settings as earlier - also apply the same gradient glow settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Add a new raster layer above your background - fill with a colour from your tube - layers - new 
mask from image - apply your mask - merge group - resize if needed

Copy & paste any elements from the scrapkit & position around your tag - apply drop shadows

With your font add your name - position - apply the same bright noise & gradient glow as earlier - add a drop shadow

Don't forget to add the artists correct copyrite - save tag and you are done!
