PTU Tutorial - Liberty



For this tutorial i am using the amazing artwork by @Keith Garvey

~Supplies Needed~
Tube of choice
Scrapkit used was Skullz & Stripez made by Kristin which can be purchased from here
If you do not have this scrapkit then please use another of your choice
Template208 which was also made by Kristin and can be downloaded from here
Masks - Vix_BigMask001 which can be downloaded from here

Let's Get Started

Open Kristin's template in psp - image - canvas size - 800 x 750 - fill the background layer with white - delete the credits layer

On the circle layer go to selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - add a new raster layer & move it below the paper layer - selections - modify - expand by 4 - select 2 colours from your tube/kit - change your colour palette to gradient - foreground/background - angle 45 - repeats 3 - fill the new layer with your gradient - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - bright noise - set to 50% - add a drop shadow

Copy & paste frame 2 as a new layer - resize by around 60-70% - position so that it is inbetween the glitter layers {see my tag} - add a drop shadow

On the left star background layer go to selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with a colour from your tube - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - duplicate - image - mirror - merge down - duplicate the black layer - image - mirror

On the tube layer - duplicate - on the original change the blend mode to luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to screen - effects - texture effects - blinds



On the red star frame go to effects - plugins - vanderlee - unplugged-x - interlace



Repeat this for the opposite frame layer - add drop shadows to the star glitter layers

On the thin grey rectangle layer go to selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - fill with a gradient {using 2 different colours from your tube} - effects - texture effects - blinds - same settings as earlier but uncheck the top box - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer - fill with a gradient {using 2 different colours from your tube} - selections - none - add a drop shadow

Merge together the maroon rectangle layers - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Merge together the light blue rounded rectangle layers - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Merge together the dark blur square layers - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Merge together the white rectangle layers - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Merge together the circle layers - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Merge together the blue rectangle layers - selections - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 4 - on the original layer fill with your gradient {Use another colour from your tube} - selections - none - effects - plugins - dsbflux - apply the same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer - position - add a drop shadow

Add a new raster layer above your background layer - fill with a colour from your tube/kit - layers - new mask from image - apply your mask - merge group - resize if needed

Copy & paste any elements from your scrapkit as new layers - position around your tag - add drop shadows {I also added gradient glows}

With your font add your name - position - effects - plugins - dsbflux - bright noise - same settings as earlier - i also applied a gradient glow here - add a drop shadow

Don't forget to add the artists correct copyrite - save tag and you are done!
